Have trouble in trials with invisible floors/walls?

You can make the hidden floors visible with this method.

Open console and type ‘Showall‘ without quotes.
Press Alt+Enter twice.

Result:

If you add somebody with special characters (eg. «»^`éç¿°) in his/her name ut2004 can’t track that person.
UT2004 will also be unable to track anyone in your buddie list below the buddy whose name includes such characters.

So just add buddies with regular symbols.

This way you can say something with just a keystroke. Go join a game, and open console.
Type this command:

Set input yourinput say yourmessage

replacing yourinput with the key you want to use and yourmessage with your message.

Example:
Set input I say Hi
Set input G say gg
Set input O say ns
Etc…

Okay.. i’ve been running into many people asking the alt codes for different characters in my name.

So here are the special characters:

To obtain an ALT Character:

1. Make certain that the Num Lock key has been pressed to activate the numeric key section of the keyboard.
2. Depress the Alt key.
3. While the Alt key is depressed, type the proper sequence of numbers (on the numeric keypad) of the ALT code from the table above.
4. Release the Alt key, and the character will appear.

Note: Not all characters work in ut2004. I’ve only listed the working ones.
Note2: another way to use special chars for windows users is to use Character map.

If you find that maps seem to take forever to load, check to make sure that the game isn’t preloading all of the player skins. Click on “Settings” then click the “Game” button at the top of the page. Uncheck the box marked “Preload all player skins” on the bottom right of the screen. Enabling that is not worth the memory it consumes nor is it worth the extra time it takes to load each level.

This way you can easily destroy the powernode:
Find grenade thrower, place as many nades as possible on your vehicle (manta’s the best choice).
Drive to the target node and explode em.

This way you’ll destroy about half of the node and can easily destroy rest of it too if enemy defenders are noob.

Here’s my nade placement:

Stand on the edge of wing or on roof and hold down crouch.

NOTE: Same goes with transporting spider mines.
Easiest way to set mines is to get on roof and throw 3 mines on the edges of both wings (3+3; 6 is default of total mines possible).

Take a vehicle. Drive/fly to a unseen place where nobody can destroy or find it.
Then commit suicide (write ‘suicide‘ without quotes into console).

After that the vehicle won’t respawn.

It’s useful when you hijack enemie’s manta and then hide it somewhere.

Or just hide your own team’s vehicles. Everyones like ‘WTF where’s our ride?!’ LOL

Here i’ll show you how to fake players in UT2k4 and get No-name with the same method.Go to Settings -> Player
You’ll see your current name in the upper right corner box. Erase your name and then type Alt+0160 in that box.

NOTE: You must use your numpad numbers. So don’t forget to turn off num-lock.
